Acceptable Use Policy (draft)
This is a working draft. It must be reviewed by a qualified lawyer before launch.
You may use the Service to send mail that recipients expect. You must not use it to:
- send unsolicited bulk or commercial email, or mail to purchased, scraped or harvested lists;
- send phishing, malware, scams, or content that impersonates another person or organisation;
- send illegal content or content that harasses, threatens or exploits others;
- evade rate limits, plan limits, suppression lists or block lists, or probe the Service for weaknesses without permission;
- register addresses for the purpose of receiving spam or abusing other services;
- misrepresent the origin of a message, including forging headers.
Required practices#
- Honour opt-outs and unsubscribe requests promptly.
- Stop sending to addresses that bounce or complain. The Service suppresses them automatically; do not work around it.
- Keep your API keys secret and rotate them if exposed.
Enforcement#
We may throttle, suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy, with or without notice where mail abuse threatens other customers or our sending reputation. [Appeals and abuse reporting contact to be specified.]
